P0508 DTCs Idle Air Control System Circuit Low Definition

When P0508 DTCs  appears and is stored in the onboard computer, that means the idle air controller circuit is low.

What does P0508 DTCs mean?

Code P0508 means that the control module control system has realized that there are some types of inconsistencies in the non-RPM engine. Whenever the PCM detects that the engine is running too high or too low, it will attempt to repair the RPM. If they can not, it will store the code.

What possible causes code P0508 DTCs?

The following are some of the most common causes of P0508.

  • Non-electric air traffic control, or IAC, engine harnesses may be shortened or open
  • IAC may also have a bad electrical connection due to motor circuit
  • The IAC itself may be defective
  • Butterfly body dirty

What are the symptoms of P0508 DTCs ?

Those who have code P0508 in their vehicle can see that idle RPM motors are low or high. The engine can stop at low speed, and when the accelerator does not crash. In addition, the engine may sometimes stop when the gas is removed. In addition, a malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate.

How does a diagnostician code P0508 DTCs?

A mechanic trying to diagnose code P0508, they will connect and OBD-II scanner to the car computer. Then they will check to see what code is stored and they will reset it.
